Springs Family and Friends,

We are now 95% into our church building. This morning I went to City Hall to inquire about the progress of our building occupancy. According to Building and Safety we need to make 5 small modifications to the building plans, have 2 sets redone, then approved. The modifications are basically signage and wheelchair accessibility. Once that is done, WE ARE IN!
Once the plans are modified (3 - 7 days) and then reviewed (2 weeks) we should be moving in.

Since we are this close, I 'm going to call Property Management to see if we can get in and clean!! Whoo Hoo!

Thank you for all your prayers and support. You guys rock!

Springs Family and Friends,

Just the facts:

1. Updated plans in my hand by early next week, and into City of Hesperia's hands by Dec 31st.

2. Property Management is working on getting us a key so that we can do cleaning and repairing. Our window for that will be Dec 31st - January 6th.

3. If all goes well, the City should be ready to either inspect or to issue our Certificate of Occupancy, between January 6th - 15th.

4. So we're looking at cleaning between January 2nd - 6th.
Thank you for all your prayers and support. Merry Christmas!

Springs Family and Friends,

I received the stamped plans Sunday January 17th at 1pm. I will be submitting the plans to the City of Hesperia this week. We'll try to gather the troops to clean and prepare the building. Then hopefully we can move in by Valentine's Day! It has been a long journey and I thank you for staying close while we've bene on this trail. Thank you for all your prayers and support. You guys rock!

Springs Family and Friends,

Had a good conversation with the County Fire Department. They told me that they will do everything in their power to get us in our building.  We will be talking again tomorrow. Our Insurance has kicked in and we are covered. We should be getting a key very soon. Keep praying and get your vacuum cleaners ready!

Springs Family and Friends,

Yeah the Saints won the Superbowl! Now on to the building - I'm tired of saying this, and you are probably tired of hearing this, 'We're almost in our building!'  We had a glitch in the submitted plans that could have cost us $700 to $2000, but after the final word from the SB CO FD, it will not cost us anything.  We just need to make some minor adjustment to exit signs and lighting, and that should be approved by the SBCO FD. I'm not going to make any more predictions as to when we will move in, but please know this - "We're almost in our building!'

Springs Family and Friends,

This morning at 9:30am I signed the lease and grabbed the keys for our new diggs. I went to Walgreens and bought some bug spray, picked up some items at our storage unit, walked in the door of our new place and proceded to pray over the building.  Then I killed some spiders and left the building. From 1pm to 7pm Barbara & Russ Little, Doug & Geneva Roth and Bob and Verna Chandler began washing windows, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, shampooing carpets and moving furniture.

And all of us had the pleasure of sitting down in our old, comfy, blue, padded chairs!  Tuesday we wil have electricity.  At noon we will move over a few more chairs and small furnishings, finish up the windows, vacuum all the chairs, hang some banners, mount some fixture and do some odds and ends. Russ is going to hang a nursery door.  I still need to grab some emergency lights and get some fire extinguishers hung.  Wednesday I head on down to City Hall to see if we can get our official certificate of occupancy.  Thank you for all your help guys! I love you!

Springs Family and Friends,

It has been a weird and long day! Just a couple of things:

1. In yesterday's email I forgot to mention that Harold Harcrow brought his huge trailer to haul the furniture. That guy can flat out work!

2. I received a call today from the property management company. This is the same company that handed me keys and said - Move on in. They said, "Don't move in yet! We need your official Certificate of Occupancy and a letter from your Insurance Company. In the middle of our call my phone died and I had no charger.

We will be meeting at the Roth's House this weekend. unless I contact you all. Please pray that this can get settled tomorrow. We only a few things to take care of and then we can begin. Love you all!

Springs Family and Friends,

Some times you just have to laugh. Thursday our Knox Box gets installed, and on Friday we are scheduled for our Fire and Final Inspection. Oh what a journey it has been! If we pass our inspections, we should be in this weekend. So please join me in prayer that all goes well, and that we have favor with those inspectors. Friday March 19th by 9pm, I will post a comment on this page explaining the current status.  Love you all!

Springs Family and Friends,

On March 18th at 8:30am, I met the alarm technician to have the Knox Box installed. After a 90 minutes of various conversations,  the Knox Box was not installed!  I then had to cancel our inspections.  It seems like the enemy is placing a spirit of confusion over almost every entity that we deal with. I'm still waiting for a call to find out when the alarm company is going to install the box. Some reports have it installed this week, and other reports have it installed on March 31st. We have a building that has been ready for almost 3 weeks, and we keep running into road blocks.

Now the American Christian Mindset is that smooth sailing is a sign of blessing. Try to sell that story to every Christian martyr who died for the faith. And try to tell that to Stephen, who was stoned to death. Remember that when Joshua entered the Promise Land, there were giants in the land that needed evicting. This is a spiritual battle my friends. Keep praying!
